WaveWare Communications and air-trak.com, both headquartered in San Diego, today announced
plans to integrate the air-trak Messenger system with the Palm Computing connected organizer.
The air-trak Messenger in-vehicle wireless data system provides wireless data connectivity for
portable devices docked in a vehicle. Using a national wireless data infrastructure,
air-trak Messenger transports data to and from the mobile workforce seamlessly into the
corporate SQL database for desktop access by corporate e-commerce applications.
WaveWare's WaveSync, the premier synchronization server for the Palm Computingâ platform,
enables remote synchronization of Palm data with corporate databases as well as remote
access to electronic mail. WaveSync is particularly efficient in transporting Palm
data over a wireless link, boasting a five-fold speed increase over Palm's built-in synchronization protocol.
